The itsy pixly spider climbed up... and up... and up...

Omg! When does it stop?!


This game has been made in 2 weeks for the LOWREZ Jam 2024 and implements the optional theme "Attachments After Attachments".


Controls and gameplay are explained in-game.

The game alternates between "climbing" levels and "hunting" levels.

In "climbing" levels you want to reach the top as fast as possible by shooting string after string and using them as climbing support.

In "hunting" levels you need to reach a given target score by catching enough flies with the webs you build.

The game has no lose condition, but tells you your completion time on the end screen.

I spent a while at the second climbing level just making a bunch of moving spider webs that would move with the clouds, loved the physics they had. Amazing work

Well done. I didn't find any bugs. I like the sequence of levels. This keeps you from getting bored and creates a pleasant dynamic.
The music is pleasant and unobtrusive. The palette and the environment itself are cute.
The change in gravity at the end is organically integrated into what is happening and does not cause irritation. The mechanics with the leaves would be infuriating. But due to the fact that the leaf disappears when it collides with a spider web, slow players can make barriers from additional strands of the web before the necessary one for climbing. That's cool! The physics of the web is working properly and there are no difficulties in using it.
