Roundabout Rowdy

This game has been made in 3 days for Ludum Dare 47.

Note: If the web version isn't running very smoothly on your system, you may download the Windows build further below. Alternatively we also uploaded a web build with low graphics setting that you can try here.

In Roundabout Rowdy you play as a rowdy driver that is stuck in a roundabout. Your goal is to create as much destruction as possible while being stylish at it when cruising your rounds.

Controls

• WASD: Accelerate, steer & brake
• Space: Brake

Gameplay

You control a rowdy driver in a small roundabout. From the four corners, various vehicles will enter the streets. Your goal is to take out as many as possible by crashing into them or using other means. Ramming other vehicles from behind will minimize your own damage. Try not to wreck your own car!

Additionally you have to maintain your rowdiness, so you have to drive full laps every now and then. The timer in the middle indicates how much time is left for you to complete the next round. Don't miss a round or it's game over.

Destroyed cars will sometimes drop Power-Ups which you can collect to heal or gain special moves.

Assets and Resources

All assets and resources have been created ourselves - with one exception being the fonts (LEMON/MILK and COMIC KINGS ).

Note: The original Jam version is still available as a download below.

[Bugfix Oct. 7th 2020]: Fixed a very rare bug where the clamp that removes broken down cars would freeze in the scene if the car got deleted during its animation. Fixed some audio source issues.

[Performance Oct. 8th 2020]: Reduced the quality settings of the web build to make it more performant and enjoyable to play.
